ACT 3 Objective setting

Broad Business objectives

Farriers have existed over the ages. It is a craft that hasn’t quite made the step towards the digital age. A lot of farriers still only rely on mouth to mouth promotion and don’t really have a bigger plan. It is RG-equine services’ mission is to make that step. To not only provide hoof care but to provide a service.  If you need a good veterinarian, they will find you one. They provide advice relating to all the different aspects of horsemanship/animal care from hoof care to nutrition.

The main goal of this website is to sustain the right professional image. To leave a good impression on existing customers, to attract new ones but especially to gain their trust. Via this way they are provided with all the information they need. They get to know their farriers. They get to know the persons who they are doing business with. And learn about their background. At the same time there is a lot of information accessible about hoofcare and other issues.

Mid term and detailed objectives:

Tangible:

Naturally the objective is to reach more potential customers. We are not aiming high in numbers on visitors and extra sales. RG Equine service doesn’t have the budget available at this time to market/fund this website. They will evaluate the website when we are done. We will investigate how mean people visit this website in the next 7 months. Over the next few months they will promote this website on their own Facebook page, on their cars and towards other customers.  

To make it SMART we aim at a total of 450 visitors over the next seven months. If we get one extra client every month over the next five months through the website that would be a great success. It doesn’t seem like much but one client can make a huge difference. If they have more than one horse they can easily fill up a whole day. That one client often brings in another. So by reaching one client every month things can change very fast.

This can be measured quite easily. When they meet their new clients they can just ask how they heard about RG Equine Services.

Longterm objectives

On the longterm there are a lot more possibilities. For example it would be really interesting if RG-Equine Services could keep an online Agenda and people can just plan in their appointment on advance. At the moment this would still give some issues because we don’t have the right software yet. Other issues might be that they want to group their clients together for example people in the area of Antwerp on one day,  clients from France on the other and so on.

 

The two most important objectives are to have a fully operational and digital client list. That we can use to construct an automated billing system. When the job is done they open the laptop and just e-mail the bill if necessary. By following the link in the e-mail clients can pay-online.

The other one is to SEO in a way that when someone in Belgium or The Netherlands googles: "hoefsmid" and later maybe even "paard"  RG-equine services wil pop up at the top.
